The guide shows you how to change the GMC Canyon Mk2 engine oil. The first operation to carry out is to open the bonnet and unscrew the cap of the lubricating oil tank. Once the vehicle has been lifted, intercept the oil pan bleed bolt and unscrew it with a 15 mm wrench so as to allow the fluid to flow into a suitable container. Once this has been done, close the drain plug and clean any residues. Remove the oil filter with a 24 mm wrench with an extender; pay attention to any leaks of lubricant. Replace the old cartridge and install the new element with its gasket. Fill the oil tank with the right amount of oil, specified in the vehicle use and maintenance manual. Turn the engine on for a few minutes at minimum rpm to allow the oil to circulate.
