How to Reset the Oil Light on a GMC Yukon

If you have just changed the engine oil in your GMC Yukon but the warning light won't turn off, you need to perform the following manual reset. First, make sure to start the entire procedure with the vehicle turned off. Then, insert the key, turn it to position one, and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. At this point, locate the buttons to the right of the steering wheel and press the one with a small car icon once. Immediately after, press and hold the button with the "check" symbol for a few seconds and release it as soon as the oil life displayed returns to "100%".
