When to Replace the Timing Belt on a Santa Fe

The timing belt is a vital component for the vehicle's operation. It affects delicate and complex parts including the water pump and, most importantly, the valves. Hyundai recommends replacing it every 100,000 miles for the Santa Fe model, but this aspect also requires attention. As a general rule, the belt should be replaced even before reaching that mileage, especially when complete with pulleys, tensioners, and water pump. Additionally, being made of rubber, it is subject to natural deterioration over time, just like the vehicle's tyres and all rubber parts (door seals, etc.).
