Instructions for Removing the Instrument Cluster

Model: Jaguar X-Type MK 1 - Years 2001-2009

Before proceeding with the removal of the instrument cluster, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Lower the steering wheel adjustment to create more working space. Release the trim frame around the instrument cluster, which also includes the central air vents (use a plastic tool to pry along the edges to detach it). Once the frame is removed, access the screws securing the instrument cluster, unscrew them to move the cluster away enough to disconnect the rear connectors and complete the removal.
