Operation of the park assist of the Jeep Grand Cherokee

Model: Jeep Grand Cherokee MK 5, WL - Years 2021-2026

In this video we can see how the active parking assistance works on the Jeep Grand Cherokee: it is a partially automated system, and the vehicle will take control of the steering mechanism while the user maintains control of the accelerator and brake. In the case of parallel parking, the system is really efficient, especially for those who are not 100% confident in their abilities. We press the first button located under the air conditioning system, which shows a "P" and the steering wheel symbol; the radar will start searching for parking spaces, indicating to the driver if there are perpendicular or parallel parking spots. When it finds one, the vehicle alerts us, we remove our hands from the steering wheel and put the car in reverse, and the vehicle takes control, leaving us only in charge of the brake. Following the instructions, we shift into drive and the vehicle parks perfectly, where we might not have been able to do it ourselves.
