If you have just changed the engine oil in your new Jeep Cherokee, but the warning message continues to appear on the dashboard mini display, you must perform a manual reset using the steering wheel controls. First, ensure the vehicle is completely off and the doors are closed.

Then, turn on the ignition and scroll through the menu until you find the option for oil life. At this point, press and hold the "OK" button for a few seconds and release it as soon as the reset operation is complete.
