This guide explains how to remove the steering wheel from a Jeep Grand Cherokee Mk4. The first step is to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery located under the front passenger seat. From the driver's seat, begin the procedure by removing the airbag unit. For this operation, insert a small flat screwdriver into the back of the steering wheel to disengage the airbag unit locks. Disconnect the control electrical cables and unscrew the 10 mm hex bolt to remove the weight block. Disconnect the exposed electrical connectors and pull out the steering wheel. Perform the necessary operations and refit the steering wheel in position, following the steps in reverse.
