Operation: How to replace the starter motor on a Land Rover Defender

Before starting, we will have to go to open the front hood of our Land Rover Defender. So let's start by disconnecting the battery poles, unscrewing the tightening bolts. After that we will have to disassemble and remove the exhaust manifold of the muffler, unscrewing the relative fixing bolts. Once this is done, we will have to unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the starter motor to its housing. By doing so, we will have freed the starter itself. At this point we will have to disconnect the electric plug, and then extract the motor from the engine compartment, and the disassembly will be finished. To fit the new starter motor, we will only have to follow these steps in reverse, and the replacement will be completed.
