DIY Tool to Remove the Serpentine Belt from a Land Rover Freelander MK1

In this video, see how to remove the serpentine belt from a Land Rover Freelander TD4 using a DIY tool specifically made for this purpose, which you can also make with minimal cost and a bit of creativity. To remove the serpentine belt from a Freelander TD4 with a BMW M47 engine, a specific tool is needed, but we take a 24 mm ring spanner, cut off the end, and weld it to its own support, as shown in the video. Flatten it well so that you can grip the tensioner pulley. If desired, you can extend the handle by welding another spanner on top. This way, you can remove the belt, which would otherwise be impossible without tools - one hand cannot fit in that tight space - and it works.
