Resetting the Service Light on the Land Rover Discovery

After changing the engine oil on the Land Rover Discovery, you need to reset the system that alerts you to the need for this maintenance service. Sit in the driver's seat and turn on the ignition. Open the hood and keep the driver's door open. Press and hold the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for sixty seconds. After this period, release both pedals and turn off the ignition. Upon the next restart, you can check if the reset was successful. Close the hood.
