Operation: How to replace the oil and oil filter of the Maruti Alto

To replace the oil and the oil filter of the Maruti Alto, we lift the car in front; we unscrew the oil filler cap, behind the oil pan, unscrew the drain plug with a 17 wrench and let the oil drain into a container; drained the oil, clean the drain plug and spread the new oil; screw the oil drain plug back on, towards the front bumper we find the oil filter which we unscrew with a special wrench, let the oil drain into a container; drained the oil, pour new oil into the new filter and screw it back into its housing; screwed the oil filter back on, we lower the car, we go to the engine, we insert a funnel in the oil filling hole, we pour the liters of oil indicated by the house, when we are approximately at the indicated liters we carry out a check with the 'dipstick (the level must be checked the second time the dipstick is removed), if the level is on the "max" mark, the operation is complete, otherwise top up it.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
