Thermostat Valve Replacement

Model: Mazda Cx 7 MK 1 - Years 2006-2012

A malfunctioning thermostat valve can severely damage the engine as it controls the opening and closing of the cooling circuit (the valve can jam due to rust formation).
The replacement operation must be carried out with the engine cold, as water will leak from the system during disassembly. The valve is located at the bottom left of the engine (when viewed from the front) and is housed within a metal fitting to which the hoses are connected. Before installing the new one, carefully clean the seat and apply gasket sealant. Finally, restore the coolant level and replace it if necessary.
