How to change the diesel fuel filter of the Mercedes Classe C.

Remove the old cartridge and check that no residues remain in the seat; if the kit includes seals, replace them and lightly lubricate them with clean diesel before closing, as this improves sealing and prevents pinching. Insert the new filter, ensuring it is positioned correctly in the housing, close the filter holder, and reassemble the parts removed from the engine compartment. Before starting, check that all fittings are fully inserted and that there are no hoses under tension. If the vehicle has a priming system (manual pump or procedure via the dashboard), use it to fill the filter and avoid long starting times; then start the engine and let it run at idle, carefully checking for any leaks around the filter holder and fittings. If you detect a strong smell of diesel or see seepage, turn off the engine and immediately recheck the seals and closure.
