In this video tutorial, you will see the main steps to remove the engine block from a first-generation Mercedes A-Class W168. First, open the hood and disconnect the battery by removing the terminals. Next, disconnect the heater core hoses and remove the windshield washer reservoir by disconnecting the hoses.

Now, lift the vehicle and remove the front wheels. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold, remove the drive shafts, and disconnect the control arms.
