Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: Mercedes Classe S MK 3, W140 - Years 1991-1998

Once you lift the vehicle on the lift, remove the drain plug from the oil pan located at the left rear corner (when facing the front); after draining is complete, reinstall the plug. Then access the engine compartment and locate the oil filter housing: it is at the rear, just behind the valve cover; the cap is aluminum and secured with three bolts; remove the bolts securing the cap and extract the cartridge filter; then insert the new filter and secure the cap after replacing the O-ring gasket and copper washers. Finally, fill the engine with new oil until you reach the maximum level.
