Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C - Years 1983-1993
Part: Antifreeze liquid
Operation: Anti-freeze liquid replacement

Replacing the engine cooling system liquid with a suitable antifreeze liquid will allow the system to remain efficient over time, preventing the formation of encrustations and at the same time ensuring that there is no risk of freezing of the same in the event of very low temperatures . It is advisable to carry out this maintenance with a cold engine to avoid unpleasant burns. Open the cap of the expansion tank and unscrew the drain cap under the radiator to drain the liquid from the refrigeration system (evaluate if it is necessary to wash the system by filling and emptying it until the liquid comes out perfectly cleaned up); screw the drain plug and fill the system with the special mixture of anti-freeze liquid until the maximum level in the tank is reached: the level must be checked after starting the engine and reaching the operating temperature to allow opening the thermostatic valve and also switching on the passenger compartment heating.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
