Where is the Starter Motor Located on the Mercedes A-Class?

This video shows where the starter motor is located on the Mercedes A-Class, useful in case you need to replace it. As shown, the motor is positioned at the rear of the engine, about halfway up, and is accessible from underneath the vehicle as well as by opening the hood. In the latter case, you will need to remove the air filter box and the intake manifold. The motor is secured with two bolts, which can be removed with a standard socket wrench. Make sure to work with the key out of the ignition and the negative terminal of the battery disconnected.
