How to Replace the EGR Valve on the Nissan Qashqai

Replacing the EGR valve on the Nissan Qashqai is a very important action to take at the first signs of failure. Start the replacement by opening the bonnet and removing the engine cover. Continue by removing the air intake duct from the throttle body; to do this, you will need to remove the clamp using a flat screwdriver and then pull it out. Using a 10 mm socket, undo the fixing screw of the duct and remove it. Disconnect the diesel filter pipes and finally remove the oil sensor support with an 8 mm socket. Now, using a socket, remove the air mass meter from the valve. Finally, with a 10 mm socket, remove the screws securing the valve. Once the screws are removed, take out the EGR valve. Clean the air duct and the valve pipe before installing the new valve. To reinstall the EGR valve, follow the same procedure as for removal but in reverse.
