How to Replace the Door Lock on the Nissan Almera

Model: Nissan Almera N16, MK 2 - Years 2000-2008

Replacing the door lock requires removing the trim panel, which is a straightforward task. Simply unscrew the fixing screws around the edge of the panel, disconnect the window switch panel, and gently pry along the edge of the panel to release the clips. Once the panel is removed, unscrew the lock mounting bolts to the door body and also the opening lever to remove the complete mechanism without disconnecting the cables and risking damage to the plastic housings. Then, reverse the process to install the new lock.
