How to Remove the EGR Valve from a Peugeot Ranch

If you notice engine performance issues and an increase in exhaust smoke, the EGR valve may be clogged, causing it to remain slightly open and allowing exhaust gases to enter the intake; you need to remove and clean it thoroughly: first, allow the engine to cool; the valve is located at the rear right of the engine when viewed from the front; to locate it easily, follow the metal pipe from the centre of the intake manifold to the valve; after removing the valve, it is advisable to also remove and clean the corresponding heat exchanger.
