Let's see how to replace the diesel filter on a Renault Partner 1.6 Blue HDi: lift the hood and remove the engine cover: the filter is a metal cylinder with a hexagonal cap, clearly visible and easily accessible. There are three connectors on the cap that must be carefully disconnected to avoid breaking the plastics: to unscrew the filter cap, use a 24 mm wrench, and remove the cap+filter assembly. Place it in a container, and pull the filter out of its seat in the cap. Take the gasket from the kit (which we may have found on Amazon with the code B0FCG5VP7L for the price of 13.99 euros, with free shipping) and lubricate it with clean diesel, insert the filter into its housing and hand-tighten the cap; tighten with the 24 mm wrench and reconnect the connectors. Turn on the ignition: we will hear the pump activate for a few seconds; repeat this operation 3 times. This will help circulate the diesel and pressurize the system, expelling any residual air. Now we can start the engine.
