Removal and Replacement of Brake Discs

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005

This video shows us how to remove and replace the brake discs on our car. First, lift the car using a lift and remove the wheels to access the brake discs. Remove the bracket that secures the brake pads to the calipers; use a screwdriver to pry between the brake disc and the pads to retract the caliper pistons, then remove the brake pads. Unscrew the bolts that anchor the brake caliper to the mounting bracket and remove the brake caliper. Finally, remove the three bolts securing the brake disc and take it out, replacing it with a new disc.
