Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Renault Megane Megane 1 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Brake pads

Before lifting the vehicle, loosen the wheel fastening bolts without completely unscrewing them. Then lift the car and secure it on proper axle stands rather than on a jack. Complete the wheel removal to access the brake caliper. Unscrew only the lower fastening bolt of the caliper and rotate it upwards, extract the old pads, and clean the sliding plates with a metal brush rather than a screwdriver. Then, attach the wear sensor to the new pads and place them in their respective slots. Retract the caliper piston and reposition it by tightening the fastening bolt. Repeat the same procedure on the other wheel, pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance, and check the brake fluid level in the reservoir.

First, remove the dashboard cover plastics using a plastic tool, then detach the central frame of the stereo (where the air vents are located) along with the related clips of the control buttons. Once the stereo is free from constraints, unscrew the fastening screws on its sides. Pull the stereo out by hand and disconnect the cables (power and antenna). To reassemble, proceed in reverse.
