Removing and Reinstalling the Rear Door Panel

Before performing any maintenance on the car, it is good practice to disconnect the battery, even if you are simply removing the door panel. The door panel of the Saab 9-3 has two T30 screws behind the handle cover. When you unscrew the screws, they may remain in their place and fall out when you remove the panel, so be careful not to lose them. Use a lever (preferably plastic to avoid scratching the bodywork) to pry near the snap fasteners; once they are all released, pull the panel upwards. Unclip the opening lever cable and the two electrical connectors. When reinstalling, pay attention to the cable, ensuring it is well connected and operates correctly, as well as the lock pin. Before pressing to secure the fasteners, ensure they are correctly aligned with the holes; otherwise, you risk damaging them.
