Let's see how to replace the EGR valve on a Skoda Octavia diesel: it is located at the top left of the engine bay, and symptoms of malfunction include loss of engine power, injection problems, and warning lights on the dashboard. Open the bonnet, remove the engine cover, detach the fastening pin of the air duct, remove the solenoid valve, and disconnect the pipe that operates the EGR valve, secured with two 6 mm screws.
