The TPMS on the Tesla Model 3 monitors the pressure of each tire using sensors. If the message "Tire Pressure Monitoring System Fault" appears, the issue may be a faulty sensor, but before replacing it, try these methods. First is the Simple Reset: Turn off the vehicle, exit, lock it, and let it rest for 5 minutes. Re-enter and restart. If it was a temporary communication fault, the message will disappear. Next, try the Hard Reset: Press and hold both buttons on the steering wheel for 10 seconds. This restarts the infotainment and other modules, allowing the system to communicate with the sensors. Finally, Identify the faulty sensor: Drive for a few minutes and observe which wheel shows 0 PSI. Use an air compressor to lower the pressure to halfway and then bring it back to the optimal level. This may recalibrate the sensor. If none of the methods work, contact Tesla online: they may resolve the issue remotely. If the sensor is faulty, ask them to check the battery before replacing it.
