In this video, we see a brief explanation of the symbols and modes of the lights of the Toyota Corolla. The lights are operated by the lever located on the left side of the steering wheel. On the outer side of the lever, we have the headlight switch, which has four positions: When the position aligns with the circle, it means that only the daytime running lights are on, which - as the name suggests - should only be used during the day. Some models also have an OFF position that turns off these lights. The next setting is "auto" which works with a sensor that detects external light, turning on the necessary lamps, including the license plate lights and interior lights. The next position identifies the parking lights, which can be kept on when the external light has not completely faded; the last one is for the high beams. By pulling the lever towards you, the high beams will temporarily turn on, which can be turned on permanently by pushing the lever forward. Remember that the high beams only turn on if the low beams are on, and a blue light will illuminate on the dashboard. On the lever, there is another switch for the front fog lights; these also turn on only when the low beams are already on. Turning the dial backward will turn on the rear fog light. A light on the dashboard will illuminate for both.
