Today, learn how to change the engine oil and oil filter on a 2022 Toyota Highlander. The steps are quite simple and quick to perform independently.

The first step is to lift the vehicle using a jack and axle stands. The second step is to use a 24 mm spanner to open the oil sump nut and let the oil drain into a container; once the oil has stopped flowing, close the sump.

The third step is to use a 3.4 mm spanner to open the nut that secures the oil filter cover; then replace the filter. The fourth step is to lower the vehicle back to the ground by removing the jack and axle stands.

The fifth step is to top up the oil in the oil reservoir.
