These simple steps will show you how to disable the traction control on a Toyota Highlander; it is advised not to disable traction control on the road but only in specific situations, as it may compromise the vehicle's road holding. First, get in the vehicle and start the engine; locate the traction control disable button at the bottom left of the dashboard, driver's side (once pressed, the light on the dashboard will indicate that traction control is disabled). Press the button again to reactivate it.
