Replacing the Timing Belt

Model: Toyota Avensis T250, MK 2 - Years 2003-2008

First, remove the auxiliary belt, and since you need to easily remove the timing belt, also remove the engine support. Use a jack to support the engine and detach the support. At this point, remove the timing belt cover, align the timing marks, and proceed to remove the toothed belt and then the crankshaft pulley (an extractor may be required). Once the belt is removed, take off the bearings and tensioner, which should be replaced with the new ones from the kit; then proceed with the installation of the new belt, ensuring the timing marks are maintained and that it is correctly tensioned. Complete the installation by reassembling all previously removed components.
