Replacing a Broken Side Window

Model: Toyota Celica T230 - Years 1999-2006

This video shows how to replace the damaged side window of a Toyota Celica. First, disconnect the battery for safety. Remove the triangular panel at the height of the side mirror using a trim tool. With the same tool, also remove the small cover in the internal door handle area; extract the window switch block and disconnect it. Use a screwdriver to remove the caps protecting the screws near the door hinge, then use a socket wrench to start removing them. Lift the door panel and disconnect the electrical connections. Once the remains of the old glass are removed, retrieve the screws that attach the glass to the lift arms. These will need to be fitted to the new glass, ensuring the threaded part faces towards the cabin. The video proceeds succinctly with reassembly and checking the operation of the window lift.
