First, lift the vehicle and start by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located on the oil pan, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes. Then, use an oil filter wrench to unscrew and remove the filter, replacing it with a new cartridge. At this point, unscrew the fill cap and pour in the new engine oil of the correct type (in this case, a 5W30); check the oil level using the dipstick!
