Operation: How to replace the accessory belt on a Toyota Aygo

To change the service belt on a Toyota Aygo, you need to open the car hood. For safety, disconnect the negative battery terminal. The service belt rotates the alternator that charges the battery, but it is also used for power steering, air conditioning compressor, and water pump. To replace the belt, you need to remove the front right rubber and lift the car. You also need to remove the fender to access the belt. Now you can see the service belt. To remove it, spray some lubricant on the belt tensioner, then use a 12mm socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner locking screw. Use a 14mm socket wrench to loosen the alternator's upper screw a little bit. Use a 10mm wrench to unlock the tensioner's locknut. When the belt is loose, you can remove it. Check the tensioner; if necessary, it may need to be replaced. When installing the new belt, pay attention to the rotation direction; pass it between the various components, respecting the installation diagram. Screw the tensioner screw, tighten it well but without exaggerating, or it will be damaged. Remember to screw the alternator screw. Now reassemble the fender. Reconnect the battery. You can mount the wheel and put the car back on the ground. Operation completed.

How to open the seat of a scooter without the key
