How Does the Car Air Conditioning Work?

The air conditioning system installed in cars is activated by a compressor located in the engine bay, connected to it via a pulley and a V-belt. This compressor begins to compress the refrigerant liquid when the air conditioning button is pressed. This allows the compressor pulley to engage, starting the compression process: the liquid then heats up and is cooled as it passes through a radiator. At this point, the liquid passes through the expansion valve, where it turns into gas. This gas is then directed to another radiator located behind the air vents, allowing air to flow into the cabin.
