The safety system, also known as SRS, consists of the seatbelt, impact sensors, and an electronic control unit. All these components work together to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers in the event of an accident. Each time you start the car, the airbag and seatbelt lights illuminate on the panel. If the lights turn off shortly after, it means they are functioning correctly and the control unit has received the coding message. If the light continues to flash, it indicates a malfunction in one of the SRS components, and you must visit an authorised workshop for a check. Possible reasons include mechanical damage to a component, malfunction of an electronic part, incorrectly connected or disconnected connectors after replacing the steering wheel. Other reasons could be failure to disconnect the connector during a repair, non-functioning control unit software, module not reprogrammed after airbag replacement, or incorrect battery replacement. To understand the error, a diagnosis of the car via the OBD port will be necessary, and remedies should be applied based on the fault. For example, if the fault is due to low battery voltage, simply recharge it correctly and then update the onboard computer.

How to Bleed the Clutch on a Renault Clio?
