How do you deactivate the automatic door lock on the Volkswagen Tiguan?

In order to deactivate the automatic door lock on the Volkswagen Tiguan, you need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the key into the ignition switch: once the panel is turned on, you can navigate through the menu using the arrow buttons on the right side, selecting the "Central locking" option. Once this option is selected, you can choose to enable or disable the "Auto unlock" option by checking or unchecking the box with the OK button; once the checkmark is removed, you will notice that the automatic lock has been deactivated.
