This guide shows the procedure for removing and replacing the timing belt on the Volkswagen Caddy 1.6 TDI. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and begin by removing the fuel filter and then the engine mount; to do this, disconnect the fuel lines and undo all the fixing bolts, as shown in the video.

At this point, lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel, then take off the wheel arch liner; remove the serpentine belt and the crankshaft pulley, then take off the timing cover, following the video tutorial to the end for the replacement!
