On the ventilation system of the Volkswagen New Beetle, there is a filter that prevents dust and dirt from circulating. It should be changed every fifteen thousand kilometers or within a year from the last replacement. To replace it, sit in the front passenger seat, unscrew the two plastic screws that secure the panel under the dashboard in front of you, and remove it. You can access the filter cover, which can be opened by unhooking it. Remove the old filter and insert a new one in its place, then put the cover back on, reposition the panel, and secure it with the screws.
