How do you replace the rear tailgate lock of the Volkswagen Polo?

To replace the rear door lock of the Volkswagen Polo, you need to open the door itself by loosening the screws that secure the inner panel. Once this panel is removed, you will be able to locate the screws that secure the lock and disconnect the corresponding connectors. This way, you can completely remove it from its seat in order to insert the new one. The new lock should be fixed in place with the appropriate screws and connected to the connectors, finally covering everything with the inner panel of the door.
