How to replace the Pumpe Duse injection system of a VAG TDI group vehicle

In this video, we will see how to replace the Pumpe Duse injection system of a TDI from the VAG group. In this system, each injector has its own integrated high-pressure pump, which doses the fuel and injects it directly into the combustion chamber, and is injected through a nozzle (duse) atomizing it into very fine droplets, thus ensuring a more efficient and complete combustion. We will see how to remove the fastenings, then disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the pump/nozzle group: in fact, the peculiarity of this system is that the pump and the nozzle are combined in a compact unit, called "PD injector", installed directly in the cylinder head, allowing a high injection pressure, up to 2,200 bar.
