How to replace the injectors of the Volkswagen Golf IV 1.6

First of all, we need to release the pressure from the system, then we find the corresponding fuse in the box (it's either 28 or 43), start the engine and let it run until it turns off by itself: this will consume the pressurized gasoline; disconnect the battery and wait for the engine to cool down. Remove the engine cover and disconnect the electrical connectors, then disconnect the fuel line; remove the intake manifold as seen in the video, disconnecting the pipes and sensors, then unscrew the fixing bolts: the manifold is the large plastic "black box" above the cylinder head. Between the manifold and the cylinder head there is a gasket, replace it if it is hard or fragile. The injector rail is the metal tube on which they are screwed; unscrew the two bolts that screw the rail to the cylinder head and remove the entire assembly. On a clean surface, unscrew the injectors from the rail, clean the o-ring seats on the rail and on the cylinder head perfectly. Lubricate the new sealing rings with silicone grease and screw the new injectors onto the rail, which we will gently insert into place. Put the new gasket on the intake manifold, screw all the bolts back in, reconnect pipes and electrical connectors, reconnect the fuel line. Do not start the engine immediately: turn the key to "ON" for 2/3 seconds and then turn it off: this will pressurize the system again.
