How to perform the service on the Volkswagen Transporter

The service for the Volkswagen Transporter model T6 consists of an oil and oil filter change, air filter and cabin air filter replacement, and fluid checks. We start the service by removing the oil tank nut to allow the used oil to drain into a container. Using a T40 wrench, we remove the nut from the filter housing to carry out its replacement. Once the oil has completely drained, we clean the external parts of the tank and screw the nut back on; we replace the gasket of the filter housing and insert the new filter before reassembling the housing. We check the fluids in the windshield washer reservoir and the radiator. To check if the fluid is between the minimum and maximum levels, we need to look at the fluid level inside the reservoir. If it is below the minimum, we add fluid. We remove the cover of the air filter housing to carry out its replacement. We then get into the vehicle and remove the cover of the cabin air filter housing to replace it. After completing all the steps involved in the service, we turn on the instrument cluster and the onboard computer from the vehicle's onboard computer. We select the "settings" option and then the "reset service" option, thus updating the mileage for the next service.
