For those who prefer to tackle such tasks themselves with relative ease, here is a video showing how to replace the rear headlight bulb of a Volkswagen Polo: open the hood, remove the carpet covering, unscrew the plastic locking pin, and pull out the entire optical unit.

At this point, the job is almost done; all that's left to do is open the headlight from the back and replace the burnt-out bulb.
