How to Reset the Service Light on Volkswagen Passat?

Model: Volkswagen Passat B7 - Years 2010-2014
Part: Service warning light

From the display of the Volkswagen Passat, you can completely clear the Service light by holding down the 0.0/SET button located on the right side of the instrument cluster while it is off: continue to hold the button, then insert the ignition key into the corresponding ignition switch to activate the cluster. Once powered, a confirmation message will appear on the instrument cluster display: this should now be confirmed with the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel, noting that the Service light will turn off.
