Obtain the replacement throttle body, which can be found on Amazon with the code B0CH35GST2 for £63.99, with free delivery for Prime customers. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery: the throttle body is mounted on the intake manifold, connected to the air filter on one side and the manifold on the other. Disconnect the electrical connector and then the MAP sensor; loosen the clamp securing the air hose, then undo the throttle body support, and finally, undo the four screws securing it to the intake manifold. Remove the old gasket and clean the seating well. Fit the new gasket, position the new throttle body, tighten the screws in a cross pattern, reconnect the air hose and all electrical connectors. Now comes the critical relearning phase; before restarting the engine, reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, connect an OBD2 diagnostic tool, access the "Engine (01)" module, and go to the "basic settings" function, then select "emergency air run-in" and follow the on-screen instructions; you will hear the throttle body learning the various positions. Once finished, exit and clear any stored errors, and turn off the car for 30 seconds.
