Engine Oil Change on VW Golf

How to replace the oil in a Volkswagen Golf 4, let’s see how. Lift the car on a column lift and unscrew the oil sump plug, allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the plug after draining). Lower the car back to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Using a strap wrench, unscrew the oil filter, remove it, and fit a new one, ensuring it is properly sealed around the thread. Top up with new oil and check the level.
