Replacing Cabin Pollen Filter

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Cabin air filter

The pollen filter purifies the air in the cabin and is located in the engine compartment under the windscreen. To replace it, obtain a pollen filter of the same model identical to the original. The replacement begins with removing the air grille and the protective cover by freeing it from the rubber seal. Move the cover by lifting it, then rotate the two side hooks and remove the filter cover. Carefully pull out the cartridge from its housing to avoid dust dispersal. Reinsert the new filter into the housing after cleaning it thoroughly and ensuring correct orientation, then securely close the cover.
