Radio Replacement on VW New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Removing the radio from the New Beetle? Here’s how to take it out from the dashboard. Insert the release keys into the lower part of the radio (beneath the plastic covering of the stereo), pull the stereo towards you after unlocking it (as shown in the video), extract the head unit and disconnect the power connectors and the antenna cable. Insert the original head unit or a generic brand with the appropriate adapter for the input and connector. Connect all the electrical terminals. Secure the radio by pressing it towards the dashboard (lock it in the designated space).
