Removing the Fan on a New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

This guide covers the removal of the air conditioning fan on a New Beetle. Use a lever to remove the plastic cover under the glove compartment on the right, then unscrew the securing screws of the drawer (where the fan is located). Remove the drawer and then the cover underneath it. Unscrew the securing screws to access the fan. Disconnect the large electrical connector from the fan, then extract it from the cabin. Insert a new fan (connect the power connector). Finally, refit the cover and tighten the screws. After reassembling the drawer, test its functionality.
