Next, check the transmission components, brakes, supports, and anything that may affect the vehicle's safety. A slightly more involved task is checking the brake pads, as it requires removing the wheels for inspection. Also, check the wear of various belts, which should not show fraying or cuts. Especially in winter, check the battery condition, ensuring there are no 'blooming' on the contacts; if so, remove the terminals and clean the poles thoroughly.
